Walk For A Hero — Web case study by Stucci Marketing Group
WebCustom platform — walkers pledge miles, backers fund the hero

Walk For A Hero

Walk For A Hero Foundation · Fort Lauderdale, FL · 501(c)(3)
Web Development · Custom App Development

The Challenge

A 501(c)(3) with a hard mission: put paralyzed U.S. veterans in FDA-cleared Wandercraft exoskeletons. A brochure site could tell the story. It could not collect walkers, hold pledges, track miles, and charge backers only when the walk is done.

The Build

A full public site and a live walker/backer product at walkforahero.com.

  • Brand and narrative: “They Stood For Us. Now We Walk For Them.”
  • Hero campaigns — starting with Hero #1, Joshua L. Holm — aimed at 100 named veterans
  • Walker signup, 15-mile / 30-day missions, GPS tracking, walker portal, live progress
  • Backer pledges per mile, Stripe pre-authorization, charge-on-finish for miles actually walked
  • Donate, sponsor, how-it-works, transparency, and foundation pages wrapped around the product
  • Published unit economics on-site: packaged cost per hero $150,000

The Result

A working nonprofit platform — not a donation button taped to a landing page. People can become a walker, back a walker, and send every finished mile toward a named veteran’s exoskeleton. The live product is the proof.
