Nonprofit · Wix → WordPress Rebuild · Technical SEO
The ReM.A.R.C.able Foundation was founded by Boston Marathon bombing survivor Marc Fucarile to fund adaptive equipment, caregiver relief, and the organizations serving people with mobility challenges. The mission was powerful. The old Wix site wasn’t carrying it: a photo-collage homepage, no proof above the fold, no homepage H1, and a builder hauling 139 requests on every load. We rebuilt it from the studs as a custom WordPress platform on Hostinger Cloud.

The Audit
- Twelve floating photos competing with, and covering, the mission statement
- A “campaigns” section with nothing to click and results buried three clicks deep
- No homepage H1, a generic “Remarcable Foundation | nonprofit” title, and placeholder URLs left in the index
- Volunteer sign-ups sent off-site to a Google Form, with no sponsor path and no newsletter capture
The Rebuild
Every section got a job: founder story up front, hard numbers ($88,232 raised by the Boston Marathon team), three program cards, named impact stories, a charity-team recruiting engine, a sponsor band, and The ReMARCable Report newsroom for fresh, indexable stories.
Mobile First
App-style bottom navigation with Donate dead center, high-contrast type sized for phones, 100% WebP imagery, and accessibility built in: skip link, alt text on every image, real heading structure.

By the Numbers
- Homepage requests: 139 → 34 (−76%)
- Scripts on load: 79 → 12 (−85%)
- Homepage payload: 4.7 MB → 1.5 MB (−68%)
- Structured data: 2 generic types → NGO, Organization, Person, Event, WebPage, WebSite
- Indexable content: 13 pages + 9 stories with XML sitemaps
- Conversion paths: Donate, Volunteer, Sponsor, Run, Newsletter, Speaking

Putting the URL on the Map
Keyword-led titles and descriptions, entity schema that tells Google and AI assistants exactly who the foundation is, a 301 redirect map so every old Wix URL hands its equity to the new site at launch, and a content engine that turns every grant and race into a story page.
